That's 1 Baaaaaaad G-Hook(er)!

I had an AWE (and then) Some time Saturday night at Opera Atlanta--first time there on a Sat. night...whew, wonderful mixed crowd and quite a few people came up to me to compliment my ensemble--"oh, this old thAng", NOT!!! ha but I was surprised by the attention.  Had a few who wanted to take pics w/me, ah shucks, let me put my teeth in w/my 86 year old self, wink. 

I did something different this time--about an hour 1/2 before I was to be picked up, sewed a quickie hat & mini dress.  Still had to have my awesome crochet on--y'all wouldn't recognize me w/o it, heck, I'd wonder who I be!

I even had one guy actually grope my backside.  Man, I turned around so quickly and his friend ratted him out and pointed "that-a-way".  You know the New Yorker came out of me: "hey, don't do that!  How dare you think you can touch me!"  I didn't curse, didn't need to but I think my 88 year old self was flattered, teehee.  nah, just kidding--treat me like a lady.

I was finishing up my garment descriptions until late in the wee hours of this morning so I'm a bit out of it.  I am hooking some colorful creations now so that's a good direction .  I can't focus on the numerous shows bx month or I'll go loopier than normal, wink, but if I work consistently, the items will get done...yikes SHOWS, SHOWS, SHOWS!

ya c, it grabbed my attention for I, silly me, thought if I sowed a hook, I'd reap a harvest

Oh, I do want to mention the lone fellow with moi is an actor as well as model.  His name is Chris. He modeled for Lamar at the event.  Well, he was an extra in Tyler Perry's latest movie "Meet the Browns" in the funeral scene.  He attended the opening day matinee and saw himself--me, I'd be, like, NOT trying to look into the camera and mouthing "hi mom", lol.   He said they kept the camera on him for a bit.  I'm not into name dropping but he's such a sweet guy and I like to blog-u-ment about my life so that was kewl beans....

That's the dj for the event, DJ Cosmos.  And why is he squatting?  Bow to Da Crochet Princess, nah, kidding.  Hear ye, hear ye, Her Royal Stitchness has entered the building and she's one bad mother G-HOOK! teehee

Well, leaving for work in a few.  Was soooo sick last Wed that I left 3 hours early and was in bed all day Thurs.  I'm better but my throat is still sore and my voice, altho not as horrible sounding, does still sound raspy....day by day.

There was some sort of glitch w/my host here so even tho my acct was posted, it wasn't available and oh, what a tangled weave of thoughts & imageries that were just dying to be released.  Excuse me while I sigh a huge of relief over here

oh my!  no, that wasn't the phone convo w/her but a nap, eating and other diversions...oh Bloggie, have I really, truly missed ya?! teehee

Anywho, she knows of me from one of my models who showed her some pics from his camera phone bk in Feb after a show he did w/me.  (And he's the one who hipped her to their need for more designers....)  She exclaims: "oh wow, I am impressed!  I didn't know who I was spking with!  Your work is awesome!"

So, yeah, I got a fan

what do you mean you?!  It takes Hookie--that's me and Yarnie over there snoozing.  Don't git it twisted dearie!  It's all about the team work.  Just like you don't push mannequins dow the runway--you don't produce art-rageous loops w/o US!  I have spoken. ..the nerve!"

Filling in Missing Day 1--March 21st--yeah, yeah, just telling my beeswax...hmmm, can I crochet w/dat?

I attended (yup, past tense because altho it was on the 21st I'm typing on the 23rd--stop laughing at me, teehee.  yeah, I guess it's funny trying to fill in "missed posting days" w/an explanation as tho it was a smooth transition...did anyone notice?  er, my loyal daily readers, HI Y'all, but we try to hook it up w/some yarntelling, uh huh)...

I attended EXOTIC IDOL's event at The Studio at 8pm.  Four of my models rep'd in my clothes mingling in w/the crowd.  I wasn't doing an official fashion event that night but have loops will travel...rec'd alot of attention.  I should be uploading some pics later on in "another post" because remember: this didn't happen yet...I got home after midnight...I did receive some good opportunities from this show so we'll see where Da Hook leads...

I had a gr8 time Saturday evening at the book signing for Roger Kennedy's event.  His book is a self-help guide called "My Spouse Made Me Rich" and you can get more info at www.myspousemademerich.com

GinaRenay (that's a feather headpiece w/a copper  shawl as a cowl wrap I did in the car---nah, I wasn't driving!--on the way to the event),  Elanda--that's my girl: always graceful, sweet and a joy to be around!

GinaRenay, Lamar--isn't he an AWE!some designer?!!  He made this design especially for this event--wouldn't give me a headsup--so sneeky!  teehee.  His shirt proclaims brillantly "Lamar is cruising" -- yes, indeed!

The St.Patrick's Day Party was cancelled due to the tornado that hit downtown earlier.  We weren't sure if the book signing was still going to occur, even tho it was a few blocks or a mile away.  It hit the CNN building and did quite a bit of damage!  Out near my way, heavy downpour and hail....

(well, uploaded these pictures--proud of myself...pats on the back.  Still got to upload from last Tues.  Can I do it before I have to get ready for work 2day?  hmmm, maybe not.)
